Masao Hirano is a Professor of Waseda Business School, and holds a PhD in Engineering from the University of Tokyo. Prof. Hirano was a former Co-head of Carlyle Japan Partners. Prior to joining Carlyle, he was a Director and Head of McKinsey & Company Japan .
He contributed to plan the whole company business strategy in various areas, and leads the globalization of Japanese companies through many projects. Currently, he is a senior consultant, and tackling plenty of global issues with multiple approaches.
